Students Welfare

  • Since its inception, the University has produced 2328 graduates, 765 post-graduates and 15 Ph.Ds, out of which 102 passed out students are working as Agricultural Research Scientists (ARS). Number of passed out students employed in government sectors and private sectors are 1691 and 269, respectively which constitutes 73% and 12% respectively. Moreover, 190 passed out students are settled in the occupation of agriculture and allied subjects. Students of the university have been performing excellence in JRF Exam conducted by ICAR, New Delhi and secured:

    i) 2nd position twice (during 2012 and 2014) in All India Ranking in ICAR-JRF examination and also
    ii) 2nd position in ICAR-Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Award for the year 2016 under the programme category of Horticulture and Forestry.
    iii) 1st Position in March past in the 5th ICAR Inter University Sports & Meet held at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab in the year 2006
    iv) 1st Position in Group song, 2ndPosition in Rangoli, 3rd Position in in Group dance, 4th Position in Solo Song in the 16th AIICAR Youth Festival held at Orissa University of Agricultural Technology, Bhubneswar, Odisha in the year 2016
    v) 1st Position in Collage and 2nd Position in Quiz in the 17th AIICAR Youth Festival held at Rajasthan University of Veterinary Sciences, Bikaner, and Rajasthan in the year 2017.
    vi) 2nd Position in Quiz in the 18th All India ICAR AGRIUNIFEST held at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh in the year 2018.
