About College

College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, District Peren, Nagaland, was inaugurated by the Union minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri. Radha Mohan Singh on 6th August 2016 in the presence of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, DG-ICAR and CAU Vice Chancellor. The college became functional with the admission of first batch of students to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree programme on 15th September 2016.

The College is located at Jalukie town under Peren District which is about 71 kms from Dimapur, Nagaland. The district is having an altitude of 800-2500 meters above the sea level.

Message From Dean

The College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Jalukie, Peren, Nagaland, a constituent college of Central Agricultural University, Imphal began in 2016. The college is playing an active part in North-Eastern hill states of India by imparting quality veterinary education, training and developing entrepreneurship skills to the students. The role of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry is taking responsibility to maintain the health of all kind of animals, improving productivity of livestock products, prevent the occurrence of zoonoses which is transmitted from animals to humans, conservation of ecosystem through the protection of wild animals and ensuring food hygiene to promote public health.
