Mobile Based Agro-Advisory System funded by MeitY, GOI, New Delhi
“Mobile Based Agro-Advisory” for farmers of College of Fisheries, Tripura, College of Vety. Sc. And AH, Mizoram, College og Hort. And Forestry, Arunachal Pradesh, College of Agriculture, Manipur, College of Post Graduate Studies in Agril. Sc., Meggalaya under the coordination and monitoring of the Directorate of Extension Education, CAU, Imphal. The project is financed by the MeitY, GOI, and implemented by DIC, New Delhi and CAU, Imphal. Registrations of farmers are being done through the toll-free no. 1800-102-3141 and already registered farmers details were entered into IIDS to complete the registration process.

Activities of College of Fisheries , Tripura
- Continuous proactive calls (5417) and follow-up (3612) call to the farmers were made covering all four districts on regular basis for awareness and sensitization of the registered farmers about the project.
- Preparation of different types of content for the farmers is in progress.
- Different type of text and voice message pushed to the registered farmers for sensitizing about the different topics.
- Total 225 no of text message consuming 1030841 SMS and 86 no of voice message consuming 142179 SMS and 17513 transactional messages were pushed by PI, Matsya Varta on different important topic related to COVID19 and other advisories recommended by CAU, Imphalto all the registered farmers of seven different districts of Tripura.
- 2823 advisories in total were provided in pull based format.
- Necessary modifications in the IVRS registration format were done with help of DIC, New Delhi.
- Total 3523 farmers were registered in IIDS till March 2021. A total 1911 inbound calls and 9029 outbound calls were completed from April 2020 to till March 2021.
- A total of 20 Awareness and Sensitization Programmes were organized at different villages among the four districts and a total of 713 farmers attended the programme.
- A total of 2 Health Camps were organized at different villages among the four districts and a total of 88 farmers attended the programme.
- A total of 11 Training programmes were organized and a total of 183 participants attended the programme.
- 2 project farmers participated in CAU Regional Agri Fair’2021 at Central Farm, CAU, Imphal, Manipur, held on 8-10 March’2021.
