Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan was flagged off today dated May 29, 2025. Dean and faculties of CPGSAS,Umiam participated in the inaugural ceremony along with the scientists and SMS of ICAR-RCNEH and KVK-Ribhoi. As a part of this abhiyan, Dr AK Singh, Associate Professor, CPGSAS, along with team members comprising of Smt. Eliza C Syiemlieh, SMS Home Science, KVK Ri-Bhoi, Dr Covertis Sten, Vety Officer, Smt. S. Wahlang, ATM, Shri Albert Kharbani, Horticulture Officer, Govt. of Meghalaya and Smt. Wanrilyne Syiem, Progressive Farmer visited three villages Nongrimnongladew, Mawbri and Khweng vlillages of Bhoirymbong block of Ri-bhoi district. During the visit, the team engaged in meaningful interactions with farmers in all three villages. Dr. A. K. Singh delivered a talk on improved production technologies for kharif crops, with a special focus on CAU-developed rice varieties.
