The Valedictory Programme of the 12th National Seminar on “Futuristic Agriculture: Technology, Sustainability and Beyond” concluded on 24th May 2025 at the College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGSAS), Umiam, Meghalaya. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of CAU (Imphal), Dr. Anupam Mishra, was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society for Community Mobilization for Sustainable Development (MOBILIZATION), New Delhi, in recognition of his contributions to agricultural education and community mobilization. The three-day seminar was jointly organized by CPGSAS, MOBILIZATION, the National Horticulture Board (NHB), ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, and ICAR-ATARI, Guwahati (Zones VI & VII). The event brought together eminent scientists, academicians, policymakers, and practitioners from across the country. In his address as Chief Guest, Dr. Mishra emphasized the role of artificial intelligence and community mobilisation
World Earth Day 2025 celebrated at Constituent Colleges and KVKs of CAU Imphal
Shri Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Hon’ble MLA, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, along with District Planning Officer and Executive Engineer, PWD Namsai, visited the College of Fisheries, CAU (I), Lembucherra, Tripura on April 9, 2025. The delegation was briefed by Prof. A. B. Patel, Dean of the College, on ongoing academic and research initiatives. Shri Namchoom interacted with faculty members commending the institution’s hands-on approach to fisheries education and its contribution to the development of the North East region. Shri Namchoom also interacted with students from Arunachal Pradesh who are currently studying at the institute.

Saraswati Puja was organized today at the College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, CAU, Imphal. Vidya Bharati North Eastern Region hosts the Samutkarsh Mahashivir from 29 to 31 January 2025 at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati. The Governor of Assam, Shri Laxman Prasad Acharya Ji, is the chief guest at the inaugural programme. Central Agricultural university, Imphal participated in the exhibition. The Honourable Governor visited the CAU stall, Dr. Anupam Mishra, Honourable Vice Chancellor, CAU Imphal welcomes the honourable Governor during the visit.
On 28th January 2025, The College of Community Science, CAU (Imphal), Tura, organized a National Symposium on “Threads of Heritage: Exploring Textiles and Natural Fibres” at CPGSAS,Umiam, Meghalaya. The event was inaugurated by Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya. Smt. Archana Chitnis, MLA from Madhya Pradesh, and Shri Atul Jain, General Secretary, Deendayal Research Institute, attended as Guests of Honour. Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, CAU (Imphal), presided over the session. The program featured speeches, a publication release, and a felicitation ceremony for artisans and farmers. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of preserving traditional textiles. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anupama Mishra, Professor & Head, Dept. of Textile and Apparel Designing.
