The KVK Imphal East observed International Day of Plant Health on May 12th, 2024
Observation of International plant health day at KVK Imphal East on 12th May 2924. Awareness on organic farming for sustainability, measures and techniques of compasting, IPM for plant health were given to the participating farmers. The programme was attended by 18 farmers and 4 farm women. vegetable seeds,micro nutrient enhancer and vermicompost were distributed during the programme.

Lecture on awareness of plant health, demonstration of yellow sticky traps and pheromone traps was delivered and demonstrated by Dr Rajkumari Padamini Assistant professor ( Plant Protection). Lecture on Importance and application of CAU Bioenhencer was delivered by Dr Samborlang K Wanniang, Assistant professor ( Agronomy) Lecture on Importance of Phytosanitary measures was delivered by Dr Rocky Thokchom, Assistant professor (Floriculture & Landscaping) during the program.

He appreciated the facilities at the Laboraory Nursery School, Spinning and Weaving Laboratory, TIC on Jackfruit and the Bio-Fertilizer production unit at MTTC-VTC. He focused on Green and Sustainable Technologies, Agri-premierships and suggested to work in a multidisciplinary approach, for better outcomes during an interaction meeting with the faculty of the College
