




On June 02.2025, the Viksit Krishi Sankakp Abhiyan (VKSA) campaign successfully reached three villages viz. Mynsngat, Moodop and Nartiang within the Thadlaskein block of West Jaintia Hills District. A multidisciplinary team of experts engaged with local farmers, delivering crucial information on sustainable agricultural practices, livestock management, and government schemes. Dr. Narendra Kumar a scientist from the College of Agriculture (COA) CAU (I) Kyrdemkulai spearheaded discussions on the paramount importance of soil nutrients management for sustainable agriculture. Dr. Kumar specifically addressed the prevalent issue of soil nitrogen deficiency a common limiting factor for plant growth. Its deficiency often leads to stunted growth and reduced yields. He also talks about the Biofertilizer which is a product of COA, Krydemkulai and its importance. Furthermore Dr. Kumar advocated for the adoption of Integrated Farming Systems (IFS)
