About CVScAH Jalukie

College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, District Peren, Nagaland, was inaugurated by the Union minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri. Radha Mohan Singh on 6th August 2016 in the presence of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, DG-ICAR and CAU Vice Chancellor. The college became functional with the admission of first batch of students to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree programme on 15th September 2016.

The College is located at Jalukie town under Peren District which is about 71 kms from Dimapur, Nagaland. The district is having an altitude of 800-2500 meters above the sea level. The temperature of valley sector where the college is located ranges between 8oC to 35oC. The campus of the College is spread over 266 acres of beautiful landscape, having a hillock, a perennial stream and several seasonal streams. To reach COVSc& AH Jalukie by flight, one has to reach Dimapur airport via Kolkota / Guwahati / Delhi and from Dimapur airport, Jalukie town can be reached by road in share zonal taxi which is available at taxi stand “Tenyimi” on Circular road at Dimapur or by bus. Travelling by train is most convenient as the distance between Guwahati and Dimapur is about 290.8 km. After reaching Dimapur railway station, one can take shared taxi/ bus to reach Jalukie town which takes two hours. From Jalukie town the college is about three km and can be reached by taxis/ autos.
