College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, located amidst the picturesque environs of Jalukie in the Peren district of Nagaland, was established in 2016 as one of the 13 constituent colleges of CAU, Imphal. Offering a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), a professional course spanning 5 and a half years, the college reserves 25 seats for seven states of north-east India (Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim) and allocates five seats (5%) for Veterinary Council of India (VCI) nominees. Situated across 266 acres, the college boasts a livestock farm complex (LFC) and a well-equipped veterinary hospital within the veterinary clinical complex (VCC). Our faculty, drawn from diverse regions of the country, leads education and research across 17 specialized departments, all adhering to the rigorous standards outlined in the MSVE 2016 guidelines set by VCI.

Students enjoy a conducive learning environment amidst the beautiful landscape, complemented by learning facilities. Additionally, facilities for games, sports, gymnasium and music foster stronger bonds among students and between students and faculty, promoting holistic development.

Accessing the college is possible via two routes: through Pimla Village (a shortcut route of 45 km) or via Medziphema/ Ghaspani (a longer route of 65 km) from Dimapur railway station/bus station/airport, utilizing private transportation options such as buses/sumo tempos or hired taxis.
