A Scientific Meeting on “Conservation of Indigenous Cow Breeds” was successfully organized at the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam, Meghalaya on March 25, 2025. The programme was graced by Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, along with distinguished dignitaries including Dr. K.M.L. Pathak, Sri Ullash Kulkarni and Dr. Dinesh Tiwari.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dwipendra Thakuria and coordinated by Dr. M. Norjit Singh. It also witnessed the presence of Dr. Sandeep Ghatak along with eminent experts and stakeholders, fostering meaningful discussions on sustainable livestock management and conservation of indigenous cattle breeds.
