A courtesy visit was paid by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal to the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, during her recent two-day visit to Manipur on 11 December 2025 at Lok Bhawan, Imphal. As Visitor of CAU Imphal, the President of India holds an oversight and guiding role in the overall development of the University.

During the meeting at Lok Bhawan, Imphal, Manipur Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor briefed the President on recent initiatives of CAU Imphal, including efforts to expand quality agricultural education, farmer-oriented research, and outreach programmes in the North Eastern Hill States. Vice-Chancellor also conveyed the University’s commitment to align its programmes with national priorities in areas such as climate-resilient agriculture, livelihood security, and youth engagement in farming and agri-entrepreneurship.Hon'ble President of India, appreciated the role of the University in serving the farming communities of the North East and acknowledged its contributions to regional development. She offered words of encouragement to the team CAU working under the leadership of Dr Anupam Mishra, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor to continue striving for academic excellence, innovation, and inclusive growth, assuring her goodwill and support for future initiatives of CAU Imphal
