Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, Bhagirath Choudhary, visited Central Agricultural University at its CPGSAS Campus, Umiam. During his visit, he was received by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Anupam Mishra.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Kyrdemkulai, Meghalaya, and the Dean of CPGSAS, Umiam, along with their faculty members, also extended a warm welcome to the Hon’ble Minister.

In his address, he emphasized the importance of effective marketing of agricultural products, strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), ensuring food safety, and promoting protected cultivation practices such as polyhouses.
