














The Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, inaugurated the National Conference on “Natural Farming: Pathways to Self-Reliant Farming and Rural Prosperity (NCNF 2026)” on 9 September 2026 at the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CAU-CPGSAS), Umiam, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya.
Held under the patronage of Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, and the guidance of Prof. Dwipendra Thakuria, Dean, CPGSAS and Organizing Secretary, NCNF 2026, the three-day national conference brings together around 500 participants, including farmers, natural farming practitioners, researchers, policymakers, students, extension professionals, certification agencies and industry representatives from across the country.
The inaugural session was graced by His Excellency Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Governor of Assam, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Dr. Joram Aniya, Member, NITI Aayog, Dr. P. S. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor, RPCAU, Pusa; Dr. A. K. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, RLBCAU, Jhansi; Dr. C. K. Timbadia, Vice-Chancellor, Gujarat Natural Farming Science University; Dr. D. J. Rajkhowa, Vice-Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University; Shri Dinesh Kulkarni, All India Organizing Secretary, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh; Shri Bhagiya Vadla, All India Executive Member, RSS; and Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal.
