The College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Tura, Meghalaya, organised the National Buyer–Seller Meet cum Exhibition on Indigenous and Heritage Products of North East India on 24 July 2026 at the State Convention Centre, Tura, Meghalaya. The inaugural programme was graced by Dr. Mehtab Chandee A. Sangma, Hon’ble MLA, Gambegre Constituency, as the Chief Guest.

The programme was attended by Shri Satinder Kumar Bhalla, ITS, Secretary, North Eastern Council; Prof. Dipjyoti Rajkhowa, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat; Shri Ankur Jain, Deputy Inspector General of Police (AP), Assam; Dr. K. M. Bujar Baruah, Former Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat; Shri Amitav Roy, DIG (PSO), Frontier HQ, BSF, Shillong; and Prof. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, along with distinguished academicians, entrepreneurs, farmers, artisans, self-help groups, and other stakeholders. The event aimed to promote the indigenous and heritage products of North East India while strengthening market linkages, entrepreneurship, and sustainable rural livelihoods.
