The Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, Headquarters at Lamphelpat celebrated World Environment Day with a tree plantation programme led by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anupam Mishra. The programme was attended by Directors, the Registrar, the Comptroller, Estate Officer, Deputy Directors, other officials and staff members of the University Headquarters, who participated enthusiastically in the initiative aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and strengthening the University’s commitment to a greener future.

During the programme, saplings were planted across the campus to enhance green cover and create a healthier environment. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor emphasised the importance of collective efforts in environmental conservation and urged all stakeholders to actively contribute towards protecting natural resources. Through this plantation drive, CAU, Imphal reaffirmed its dedication to ecological sustainability and environmental stewardship in line with the spirit of World Environment Day.
