Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, Dr. Anupam Mishra attended the State Krishi Mela 2026 organized by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Manipur, at the City Convention Centre, Imphal, on 6 June 2026. The programme, held on the theme “Balanced Use of Fertilizer – Balanced Fertilization for Healthy Crops and Healthy Soils,” was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished dignitaries present included Shri Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Lamsang Assembly Constituency; Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Konthoujam Assembly Constituency; Shri Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei, Hon’ble MLA, Keirao Assembly Constituency; Shri Tongbram Robindro Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Thanga Assembly Constituency; and Dr. Yumnam Radheshyam Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Hiyanglam Assembly Constituency, along with senior officials, scientists, academicians, farmers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from the agricultural sector. During the event, Dr. Mishra addressed the gathering on the importance of balanced fertilization, soil health conservation, and sustainable agricultural development. The mela also witnessed the release of farmers’ success stories, distribution of Natural Farming (NF) Scope Certificates, launching of NF products, formal launch of the Manipur Seed and Organic Certification Agency (MASOCA), signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of Agriculture and CAU for Natural Farming Certification, distribution of subsidized farm machinery, and felicitation of outstanding farmers and institutions.
