Indigenous Sports Meet – 2026 was organised on 25th January 2026 in commemoration of the 33rd Foundation Day of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal. The programme was graced by Shri Vivek Kumar Dewangan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt. of Manipur; Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, Dr. Anupam Mishra along with Prof. Indira Sarangthem, Director of Instruction; Dr. Lalita Mohan Garnayak, Director of Research; Prof. Ph. Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education; Dr. Tilak R. Sharma, Registrar; Dr. Ng. Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat; Prof. K. Nandini Devi, Dean, College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, CAU, Imphal, and Dr. S. Basanta, Principal Scientist, ICAR, Barapani.

The event featured various competitions including painting, rangoli, flower arrangement, vegetable and flower show, spoon race, water-filled pot race, sack race, blind hit and musical chair.
