





























An Interaction Session with Weavers and Artisans was organised during the National Conclave on “Weaving India Together” at the C. Subramaniam Auditorium, NASC Complex, New Delhi. The session was graced by Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India), who interacted with artisans and weavers from the North Eastern region, and lauded their rich craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Also present were Dr Mangi Lal Jat, Secretary DARE & DG, ICAR and Dr Rajbir Singh, DDG Agricultural Extension, ICAR. The programme provided a platform for artisans to voice their experiences, challenges and aspirations, and for policymakers and officials to discuss ways to strengthen the synergy between traditional craftsmanship and modern markets. The event further underscored the vision of Vocal for Local and an Atma Nirbhar Bharat through inclusive development of rural artisans.
