Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan(VKSA) at KVK, East Kameng, Pampoli commenced with the arrival and registration of farmers,officials from agriculture and allied departments,scientists from ICAR Central Agricultural University,KVK and representatives from Farmer Producer Organizations.The event began with ICAR/VKSA song creating a vibrant atmosphere, and was graced by the presence of the Chief guest,Shri Arjun Gupta,IAS.Dignataries were felicitated with mementoes, followed by an address from the Chief guest.He also flagged off the Krishi Rath aimed at spreading awareness about kharif crops and agriculture related information across villages in East Kameng.As part of the event, soil health cards, kharif crops seeds ,leaflets on recommended crop management practices were distributed to farmers. A dedicated farmers scientists interaction session was held.Ms.Parul Sharga from the College of Horticulture and Forestry , Pasighat,CAU Imphal highlighted the importance of Agroforestry.
