The College of Horticulture, Thenzawl, under Central Agricultural University, Imphal, marked a major milestone with the inauguration of its new administrative-cum-academic and transit buildings. The event began with an address by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anupam Mishra. Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram, Gen (Dr.) V.K. Singh, and Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, joined the ceremony online, with the Minister officially inaugurating the buildings. Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma delivered the keynote address, alongside other dignitaries including Horticulture Minister Mr. Franklin L. Khobung and Joint Secretary Dr. Sunil Doley. An exhibition on horticultural advancements, featuring participation from farmers and KVKs, drew over 1,500 attendees, reflecting the college’s strong community outreach. The event marks a significant step forward in advancing horticultural education and research.
